Based in sunny Hawke’s Bay Mindpool’s director Alan Mackintosh brings extensive leadership experience from his work across New Zealand. Known for his perseverance and integrity, Alan has a reputation for getting things done efficiently.

Alan has had extensive experience in agricultural land and infrastructure development.

Taking a ‘hands-on’ approach to his work, Alan is a firm believer in actively up-skilling his project teams to ensure sustainability of projects after his requirements have been successfully completed.

Prior to establishing Mindpool, Alan was involved in the health sector managing the change of a small after hours medical service to a busy 24 hour level 2 A&E service and GP support clinic.

After 13 years with the medical centre Alan went in search of new challenges. He has sought out projects where he can focus on his passion of project management, strategic management and organisational change.

In recent years he has worked on numerous substantial contracts for various New Zealand Health Boards while also maintaining an active interest in his own study and up-skilling.

Alan also co-founded the Hawke’s Bay branch of the Project Management Institute of New Zealand where for two years he was one of the main study group facilitators.
